Comodo blocked "CamStudio_Setup_v2.7.2_r326_(build_19Oct2013).exe" from installing, stating that it had a "Application.Win32.InstallCore.BWAN@1" infection. Nick Smith suggested disabling Comodo. Later, "PC Utilities Pro – PC Optimizer Pro" was reportedly being installed and being run without people's permission. Systems were infected with the following: "PUP.Optional.Delta.A", "PUP.Optional.Spigot.A", "PUP.Optional.InstallCore.A", "Rogue.Multiple", "PUP.Optional.CrossRider.A".[citation needed]

TechSmith Corporation is a software company developing screenshooting, screencasting and video editing software, for Windows and macOS, and licensing them to corporations, educational institutions, government agencies and small businesses.[1] The company was founded in Okemos, Michigan in 1987 by William Hamilton.[2] In 1990 they created Snagit, their most popular and best-selling product.[citation needed] TechSmith is now helmed by William Hamilton's daughter, Wendy Hamilton.
There have been ongoing reports about malicious code contained in some binaries of the software. In 2013, Google-run website VirusTotal declared that CamStudio contains malicious software, where most anti-virus programs detected Artemis Trojan in CamStudio installer file.[10] In January 2014, the binary on the webpage was reported to be infected with the trojan, Artemis!0FEA2B12900D.[citation needed]
PC World noted that "Camtasia has evolved from being the go-to program for software demonstrators to a full-featured education/information video tool" from this 4 1/2 star review. An earlier 2005 review is still relevant, which states that, though "powerful," Camtasia can be "a little overwhelming at the start" to new users, though the learning curve is easily manageable.[5][6][7]

From your iOS mobile or web app, click the plus button in Adobe Spark, then select video to launch a new project in the video editor. Title your video to get started—don’t worry, it’s easy to change the title later—then dive into the video editing fun. You can watch the brief tutorial on how to edit videos or skip straight to adding your own content to slides.

Ready-made slide layouts take the design work off your hands. Simply click through your options in the app’s video editor toolbar to experiment with layout styles. Pro tip: you can choose different layouts for each individual slide. Mix it up with a blend of split screen, single caption, title and text, and fullscreen layouts to keep your audience engaged.

Camstudio is a pretty straight-forward video capture software application which does exactly what it says. The main features are simple and it's completely free. It's a small and stable application which can highlight a cursor path, automatically pan and it does this (and more) while recording sound. It also gives users the ability to add annotations/closed captions and the option of adding a timestamp to the video output.
Clicking the big plus button on web or in the iOS app will open a slide-based editor. No complicated timelines here with Spark's intro video maker! We suggest storyboarding out your animated video story within the app by selecting one of the preloaded story structures or creating your own by adding notes to slides, which will guide your creation. Each slide should represent just one point or thought.
Camtasia ( /kæmˈteɪʒə/) (formerly Camtasia Studio) is a software suite, created and published by TechSmith, for creating video tutorials and presentations directly via screencast, or via a direct recording plug-in to Microsoft PowerPoint. The screen area to be recorded can be chosen freely, and audio or other multimedia recordings may be recorded at the same time or added separately from any other source and integrated in the Camtasia component of the product. Both versions of Camtasia started as enhanced screen capture programs and have evolved to integrate screen capture and post-processing tools targeted at the educational and information multimedia development marketplace.

The good thing about Camtasia is that the free version contains every function of the original one. So, you can try all the game-changing features such as the overlapping media. It’s an inherent mechanic that lets you combine multiple clips into one video. Other programs, such as OBS Studio or Filmora Video Editor, can do the same thing, but not as easily as CS.
